Topgolf popularized the art of driving golf balls into an entertainment experience. Now, a few competitors are popping up, including Atomic Golf at The Strat, which has more than a hundred bays on four levels.

How’s the Vibe?

Atomic Golf has something of a “clubby” atmosphere, with dance music playing and pops of purple neon. It also has cannons to shoot balls 😲 and a high-tech putting district.

The Views?

While Topgolf has views of the Strip, Atomic Golf has views of Naked City, which — hear me out — actually has its charm, especially at dusk, when a soft glow settles over the neighborhood. You also have clear mountain views during the day. As night settles in, dancing lights hog the attention on the driving range.

The Food?

Executive Chef Robert Lomeli has the freedom to get experimental with the menu. Try the poached lobster tail in Beurre Monté with a topping of popcorn, fries covered in slices of Creekstone Farms New York Strip, and the “Hipster” flatbread with a savory combination of apple, bacon, and bleu cheese. It pairs well with one of 15 local beers from self-serve taps. The more intimate Cosmic Lounge has its own menu, headlined by an awesome short rib and bone marrow mix with brown sugar, herbs, and onions.
