Between resort fees and F1 construction, Las Vegas can be a scary place. That’s especially true as we head towards Halloween. Here’s how to celebrate the spooky holiday to the fullest.

🎃 Colorful Parades

The Parade of Mischief at Downtown Summerlin is free on Friday and Saturday nights at 6 p.m. throughout October.

Lake Las Vegas throws a big holiday celebration, from 6 to 10 p.m. on Oct. 31, featuring carnival games, entertainment, and the community’s infamous Halloween golf cart parade at 6 p.m.

👻 Haunted Attractions

There’s a new king in town. Universal Horror Unleashed recently opened at the new AREA 15 extension, featuring four haunted houses under one roof (including one modeled after the “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and another after “The Exorcist”) with themed bars and dining.

The creator of Bonnie Screams (R.I.P) brings 31 Freak Street to Tivoli Village. Choose between Intruders (a spooky haunted house) and the evil clowns of Twisted Terror.

In another double-header, Las Vegas Haunts presents Hotel Fear (where there’s no vacancy and no peace) and Asylum, a twisted take on a mental institution at Meadows Mall.

The long-running Fright Dome is out at Circus Circus, replaced by a different operator and concept (that kinda looks the same) named Fear Zone with four haunted houses and six scare zones inside the AdventureDome.

Another new one: The Undead Maze, which takes over the old Hogs and Heifers Saloon near the Fremont Street Experience. The haunted house takes inspiration from "The Ring." Can you break the curse?

🍸 Boozy Bars

Black Lagoon takes over Jammyland in the Downtown Arts District, mixing goth and monster themes with a menu of specialty holiday cocktails.

Head to Chinatown, where the Golden Tiki presents Tales From The Tiki Crypt at 8 p.m. on Wednesdays through Halloween with four mini-cocktails for $80 and ghostly performances.

The Legacy Club mixes cocktails and views from the rooftop of Circa on Fremont Street during Haunted Heights with themed drinks and a costume contest on Oct. 31, 8 p.m.

Trilogy of Spirits: A Halloween Pop-Up Experience comes to the Cabinet of Curiosities (and its sister speakeasy, The Lock) with spooky, seasonally-inspired cocktails and themed mixology classes.

🧙 Pop-Up Parks & Parties

HallOVeen at the Magical Forest is an annual tradition for Opportunity Village. The holiday theme park has mini-golf, carnival games, and other fun stuff — plus a beer garden for adults on weekends.

AREA15 welcomes SCAREA15 on Halloween night, featuring a “Strange Circus” dance party throughout the Wall, Portal, and A-Lot with DJ Valentino Khan.

The adults-only Sin City Halloween Ball (formerly the Fetish & Fantasy Halloween Ball) definitely has a saucy side and is known for skimpy costumes. It’s back at Virgin Hotels on Nov. 1. Come by a day earlier and pregame during Thriller, a Halloween night party in 24 Oxford with 2 Live Crew.

The Fremont Street Experience comes alive (or at least will be “undead”) for a Downtown Celebration on Halloween, with costumes, themed tribute bands and more.

😱 Spine-Tingling Entertainment

The Beverly Theater is screening scary movies all month long. It’s called The Wake, featuring 50 classics in 31 days, from Hollywood blockbusters to cult favorites. Each one is individually priced, but you can enjoy unlimited viewing with a $99 Slash Pass 🔪 🩸

I once named Ghost Stories with Kent Axell one of the best bang-for-your-buck shows in Las Vegas. It’s running four nights a week ahead of Halloween at 1923 Prohibition Bar.

The CRAFT'D: An Unauthorized Musical Parody is the latest hit at the Majestic Repertory Theatre, putting a mystical witchy spin on the season in the Arts District.

The Vegas Theatre Company presents the Las Vegas premiere of Urban Death Vegas, an R-rated series of wordless horror-themed vignettes. The production runs on select dates throughout the month.
