The night before Thanksgiving is one of the booziest nights of the year. Call it Drinksgiving, Friendsgiving, or just another Wednesday in the Kachelriess household. With no need to be up early for work the following morning, we’ve tracked down the best options for sipping the night away on Thanksgiving Eve 🍸
🍹 The Biggest Bar Crawls
The Block Bar Crawl makes its way through Fremont East with a well cocktail or draft beer included at each stop for $52.19. Tips are covered too. Pick up your wristband at La Mona Rosa, beginning at 8 p.m. and continue on to Park on Fremont, Lucky Day, Commonwealth, and We All Scream.
Manage your time right, and you can crawl your way through the Venetian with $50 open bar specials at Juliet Cocktail Room (9-11 p.m. with dueling pianos) and Electra Cocktail Club (10 p.m. to midnight with DJ Tim Tones).
The self-guided Royal Crawl app now operates at The LINQ Promenade, Mandalay Bay/Luxor, and the Fremont Street Experience with five drinks included in one price, plus a chance to win a prize at the end. Use the code SOCIAL50 for 50% off.
🎉 Parties and Celebrations
Fergusons Downtown hosts a Common Ground Friendsgiving, 7 p.m. to midnight, with a DJ, drinks, and a donation drive accepting clothes, canned food, and other items.
It’s the final night at Ada’s before the wine bar (and its menu of awesome, underappreciated food) moves to the Arts District and expands into a full-scale restaurant in the old Esther’s Kitchen space. Enjoy all the bites and sips you can handle from 4 p.m. to at least 8 p.m. for $75 per person.
🍸 Delicious Drink Discounts
Nudo Italiano in Southern Highlands is extending its happy hour from 4 to 10 p.m. with $9 spritzes and pizzas, $8 select wines, and $4 draft beers.
Mijo Modern Mexican at Durango is serving $25 bottomless margaritas, in addition to its own regular happy hour (which I may have raved about already.)
Cabo Wabo Cantina emphasizes the “friends” part of Friendsgiving with a shareable, five-liter tableside Tres Blanco margarita, starting at $98.
🎶 That’s Entertainment
The Beverly Theater hosts a “Grease” Drink-A-Long to maximize the fun while watching the 1978 classic starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. Do a shot when a song begins, Rizzo roasts someone, or when Jan mentions food. The movie is $15 and shots are $3.
The Golden Tiki brings back its Charlie Brown Thanksgiving celebration, where guests can munch on toast, jelly beans, pretzels, and popcorn on a ping pong table — just like Snoopy prepared during the iconic holiday TV special. Dress up as your favorite “Peanuts” character and receive a free shot. Themed cocktails are $14 each.
- The above specials and events are all valid Wednesday, Nov. 26. Otherwise, you can spend a little more time exploring the growing number of winter holiday pop-up bars in Las Vegas. [Hey Las Vegas ✍️]
