Clark County is seeking paid volunteers to help with early voting and Election Day. The role is about civic duty more than cash, but you can still pick up a few bucks by donating your time.
🗳️ Who Can Be a Poll Worker?
You must be a registered voter in Clark County or an enrolled high school student who’s at least 16 years old. Otherwise, you’ll need to be able to speak English (in most situations), behave in a professional manner, and have your own reliable transportation.
⛔ Who Can’t Be a Poll Worker?
You can’t be a candidate, a relative of a candidate, or a poll watcher/observer during any election you work.

There isn’t a hard and firm deadline, but Clark County wants positions filled by the start of early voting on October 19. So don’t wait. 🙂 Positions Available?
The strongest demand is for poll pad operators (seven hours of training required) and ICX voting machine monitors (four hours of training). Other positions like line monitors, mail ballot clerks, and team leaders are filling up fast. It’s a plus to be bilingual with a strong need for those who speak Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, or Filipino/Tagalog.
💰 How Much Does It Pay?
Poll workers receive a flat $200 or $250 for working Election Day. Early voting is $17 or $20 an hour. Any training is a flat $50 for the class.
