A month for Revelry 🍽️ (Wynn Las Vegas)

It’s time to shift from summer to fall, while shaking off the mild interruption of monsoon season. It’s a month we call September in Las Vegas — and it’s full of cool stuff to do.

🎭 Local Theater

Las Vegas Little Theatre presents “The Cottage,” a British farce, Sept. 5-21, in Chinatown. Super Summer Theater wraps up its season with “Singin’ in the Rain” at Spring Mountain Ranch State Park Sept. 11-27. The Majestic Repertory Theatre kicks off its 10th season with “THE CRAFT'D: An Unauthorized Musical Parody” Sept. 11 with dates through November.

🌮 Mexican Fiestas

Mexican Independence Day is fast-becoming one of the biggest celebrations of the year in Las Vegas. And since it falls on Sept. 16, a Tuesday this year, we get to stretch it out to an extra-long fiesta. The closest weekend usually involves a big Vegas fight (in this case, Canelo vs. Crawford at Allegiant Stadium), pool parties, tequila, and all the tacos you can handle.

🛍️ Shopping Fresh, Shopping Local

We love outdoor shopping, but it’s much more enjoyable when the weather cools down a bit. So we’re happy to see the debut of the Fresh 52 Farmers & Artisan Market on the second and fourth Monday of the month at Ariva Luxury Residencies. Don’t forget about Market in the Alley, back at UnCommons (Sept. 6), Green Valley Ranch (Sept. 13), Downtown Summerlin (Sept. 14), and the Arts District (Sept. 20).

🍺 Oktoberfest in Vegas

Despite the name, Oktoberfest is a September tradition. (Don’t ask why. Just order beer and roll with it). Take a sip with celebrity keg-tappings at Hofbrauhaus, a new Downtown Oktoberfest on Fremont Street Sept. 19-21, and special-edition craft beers from your favorite local breweries.

🎤 The Art of Storytelling

Ignite Talks are kind of like a cross between a TED Talk and speed dating. Speakers get five minutes — no more, no less — with 20 slides that auto-advance every 15 seconds. It’s time to make learning fun again, so check it out when the event arrives at the UnCommons Assembly Sept. 19.

😋 Food Festivals

🎻 Fun at the Philharmonic

Think of this as your gateway drug to classical music. The Las Vegas Philharmonic kicks off a new season at the Smith Center’s Reynolds Hall on Sept. 27 with a performance of “Bugs Bunny at the Symphony," featuring familiar favorites synced up to vintage Warner Bros. cartoons.
