Uh oh. The ladies are united in Galentine’s Day fun — but what if you (or your S.O.) forgot to make plans for Valentine’s Day? The romantic holiday arrives on Saturday, Feb. 14. If you can’t score a reservation at one of the best new restaurants in town, we’ve got a few last-minute date ideas that fall on the affordable side, but won’t make you look cheap.

🎞️ The Beverly Theater is showing two classic romantic comedies on Valentine’s Day at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. while keeping the titles a mystery until showtime 👀 Tickets are just $15, so take a chance with a different kind of “blind date.” Then again, if you don’t like surprises, check out Oscar contenders “Sinners” at 1 p.m. and “Hamnet” at 3:35 p.m.

🚨 The Mob Museum celebrates its anniversary on Feb. 14, which is kinda appropriate since it has a full exhibit dedicated to Chicago’s notorious St. Valentine’s Day Massacre. In a tradition locals can appreciate, anyone with a Nevada ID gets free admission for the day on a first-come, first-served basis.

🍸 Petite Boheme is combining Valentine’s Day with Mardi Gras for a big party in the Arts District on Saturday night, beginning at 7:30 p.m. The “carnival” includes New Orleans drink specials (like sazeracs and hurricanes), mini king cakes, and prize giveaways.

🍣 Whether on the Strip or in Chinatown, it’s not uncommon for Japanese omakase dinners to cost $300 to $500 per person. So we’re happy to see Zuma offering a special five-course Valentine’s Day omakase for $148. Highlights include miso-marinated black cod, spicy beef tenderloin, sashimi, maki rolls, and a special strawberry matcha ice cream sandwich.

🍝 Tickets begin at $40 for Spaghetti Western Night at Dustland in the Arts District. Everyone gets a plate of spaghetti and meatballs, a Coors Banquet draft or Waves canned wine, and a Twinkie while watching “A Fistfull of Dollars” at 5:30 p.m. or “For a Few Dollars More” at 7:30 p.m.

👻 Universal Horror Unleashed, a year-round scary attraction at AREA15, has a four-course My Bloody Valentine dinner for just $80 per couple through the end of February inside the Premiere House restaurant. (You’ll love the Die-ver Scallops 😋) Cocktail pairings are an additional $40 per person.

💪 A couple that gets in shape together, stays together. So get a workout in at EOS Fitness. All locations are offering free admission to everyone on Valentine's Day.

  • Here’s another great idea: a night at a local theater. City Cast Las Vegas talks to the founder of the Majestic Repertory Theatre about the local performing arts scene and how new productions are finding success by tapping into ‘90s nostalgia. [City Cast Las Vegas 🎧]
