Does the King still rule his kingdom? The presence of Elvis isn’t as omnipresent as it used to be in Las Vegas, but don’t feel all shook up. On the eve of what would’ve been the music icon’s 90th birthday, we reveal the best places to celebrate in Vegas.

🎸 Years ago, the Westgate was known as the International (and later, the Hilton) where Elvis performed his groundbreaking Las Vegas residency. The resort leans into the legacy with a statue of the King in the lobby and monthly presentations of “My Brother Elvis: An Evening with David Stanley,” featuring a backstage tour of the International Theater, a look at Elvis’ own dressing room, and an intimate Q&A with Presley’s brother. The next one is January 15.

🎸 The South Point is another casino with a soft spot for Elvis. The showroom even hosted “An Evening with Priscilla Presley” not too long ago. Return March 4-6 for “Donny Edwards: The Next Best Thing to the King” to see the acclaimed tribute act.

🎸 The Composers Room champions local talent at Historic Commercial Center — just east of the Westgate. Local Elvis impersonator Harry Shahoian hits the Show Lounge stage on January 8 at 7 p.m. for a “Happy Birthday Elvis” celebration with special guest Kelly Clinton. The night includes a memorabilia display and themed cocktails.

🎸 Need your Elvis fix all week long? The off-Strip Alexis Park Resort hosts All Shook Up Tribute to the King, featuring a rotating lineup of tribute acts. You never know who you’ll get from night to night, but fans love the spectacle, which is the longest running Elvis-themed show in Vegas.

🎸 Wednesday isn’t just Elvis’ birthday. It also marks 78 years since the birth of David Bowie. Celebrate both music icons with a party at Millennium Fandom in Downtown Vegas. The fun begins at 6 p.m. No cover. Dress to impress.

🎸 Getting married by an Elvis impersonator is nothing new in Vegas. Add one to your ceremony for an extra $200 when getting hitched at the Little Church of the West wedding chapel — where Elvis walked the aisle with Ann-Margaret at the end of “Viva Las Vegas.” Backup plan: The Little Vegas Chapel is celebrating Presley’s birthday with a “Hunk of Burning Love” discount package January 8-15.
