The popularity of country music is often in flux, but the genre has always had a home in Sin City.

Whether you’re a casual listener or a honky-tonk veteran, here are the best country music spots in Vegas.

Blake Shelton has been on a roll opening up concert venues across the country. His Vegas outpost opened on the Strip earlier this year and features three floors worth of country charm. Given its location and owner, this is certainly a place for the country curious and those looking for party vibes with a western flair. Keep an eye out for the rooftop line dance classes.

Across the Mob Museum, this is primarily a jazz and blues joint, but a little birdy told us they’re expanding their live music lineup to include more country and rockabilly artists.

A Vegas staple for the line-dancing crowd. They have a legendary ladies’ night on Thursdays, dance lessons, and there’s always fun up-and-coming country artists coming through.

Head to the Arts District for Saturday Country Brunch and catch our friend and local musician Paige Overton perform with Jake Shepard every other week. Plus, I highly recommend the $25 bottomless sangria.

For the original cowboys and cowgirls (vaqueros y vaqueras), Thursday through Sunday at La Hacienda often features Mexican regional music. The lively crowd, Tejanas (cowboy hats), and buckets of cold beer, bring me back to childhood celebrations in Ciudad Juárez and the many nights in my 20s spent trying to capture that memory.
