Nevada legalized recreational cannabis in 2017 to cheers and fanfare: We were going to make SO much money. Except it's now 2025 and sales are down, our celebrated consumption lounges are closing, and the vibe is hesitant at best. What's going on? Co-host Dayvid Figler talks with cannabis industry consultant Scot Rutledge and Layke Martin, Executive Director of the Nevada Cannabis Association, to talk about the threat posed by the illegal market, why consumption lounges never quite took off, and where we go from here.
