⚖️ Vacation Scam Case

A Henderson woman is awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to felony theft. Haliegh Knight scammed a former classmate and her family out of $20,000 for vacations that never happened. Separately, police also say she admitted to faking a cancer diagnosis to get donations through a crowdfunding website. [Las Vegas Review-Journal]

💬 Archbishop Challenges White House

A feud between President Donald Trump and Pope Leo XIV prompted the leader of the Catholic Church in Las Vegas to speak out. In a statement, Archbishop George Leo Thomas defended the pontiff over the weekend after Trump accused the pope of being “terrible for foreign policy”. [KSNV]
