Summer is already off to a great start as we settle into a long holiday weekend. So we thought it would be fun to collect some of the best ideas for Las Vegas bucket-list summertime shenanigans in one place.

☀️ Here are a few of my own personal suggestions:

Lake Mead Cruises. Boating on the lake sounds great, especially if you let someone else do the work.

The Las Vegas Ballpark. The chairs are so comfortable, it almost doesn't matter if the Aviators win or lose.

Slots-A-Fun. Unload your old coins at the slot machines and enjoy the air conditioning.

☀️ We asked readers to weigh in with their suggestions:

Summer pool concerts! My favorite venue is Mandalay Bay Beach (although the concerts are on hiatus this summer)! I think Red Rock Resort has the potential to also be a great venue but someone tell them we want to actually get in the pool for a pool concert. They didn't get the memo!

Playing golf at Shadow Creek.

— Betts D.

The guided Hoover Dam & Power Plant Tour. It’s nice and cool down there!

— Lynn B.

I try to go to Super Summer Theatre up at Spring Mountain Ranch at least once every year. It seems like that meadow is always a bit cooler than the valley and it's so nice just to sit on the grass with some snacks and enjoy a show as the sun is setting.

— Shannon M.

An early morning Pedego e-bike ride either around Lake Las Vegas or Red Rock Canyon.

— Summer B.

Bottomless mimosas during brunch, then chilling in the A/C until the sun goes down.

— Eric R.

Every summer, no question ... summer camp at the World Series of Poker.

— Sarah C.

I treat summer in Las Vegas like a winter storm in the Northeast — hunker down with a good book, the cat, and hope the internet doesn’t go down. Going out can wait until October.

— Liz B.

A splash pad if you don’t have room for a pool.

— Kathy M.

A sportsbook for ponies, baseball, comfy chairs, and refreshments.

— Steven L.

☀️ The rest of the City Cast Las Vegas team had a few suggestions of their own:

Kayaking in Black Canyon. And don't sweat it if the crowds at Emerald Cave are too big — it's tiny and you're not missing too much. Enjoy all the rest this gorgeous canyon has to offer.

— Executive producer Sonja Cho Swanson

Jetskiing at Telephone Cove in Laughlin.

— Producer Layla Muhammad

Hike the Bristlecone Trail on Mt. Charleston!

— Co-host Sarah Lohman

Sunset at the Neon Museum. You don't get to see the actual sunset, rather you watch the Boneyard transition from day to night as lights slowly start to twinkle at dusk. Once it's dark, you're immersed in a curated love letter to the bright, beautiful history of Las Vegas.
